The absurd does not liberate; it binds.

i did my usual browsing through the philosophy section at Kinokuniya searching for some of Jean baudrillard's work but failed to do so after i stumbled upon Albert Camus's The myth of Sisyphus and instantly fell in love with it after by just reading few pages of it. i am deeply fascinated with philosophy, especially metaphysics, existentialism and absurdism, And that book by Camus, compares the absurdity of the existence of humanity to the labours of the mythical character Sisyphus, who was condemned through all eternity to push a boulder to the top of a hill and watch helplessly as it rolled down again. Camus takes the nonexistence of God granted and finds meaning in the struggle itself.

i am greatly fascinated by it. thus, i HAVE to have it.
i am ALSO equally fascinated by the level of insolvency i am in.

so here's a hint to anyone out there that doesn't know what to get me for Christmas :p

i just recovered from a brutal 2 day 2 night fever and flu.
feels like i am somewhat dying. and if i happen to die an untimely death, the cause of it is most likely to be due to an overload of assignments leading to a sudden nervous breakdown that is so severe, i start to lose my sanity which ultimately leads to me being in a straightjacket, refusing to eat anything and then die of starvation.

on the contrary,

i am feeling quite accomplished and good about myself today.
my two weeks worth of laundy is 60% done. hoyeahhh.
